Clarissa Shelton
I am an avid reader because I loves stories, words, and people. I am an editor because I hate to see a great book set down over a typo or missed detail.
I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association with specialized certificates in editing from the University of California San Diego, Writer’s Digest University, and IAP Career College. I am pursuing an English Degree with The University of Maine at Presque Isle. I’ve been working with authors to improve their works for the last several years and am thrilled by the thought of doing it for years to come.
I’ve worn many other hats, including baker, bartender, and dog-trainer. I live in North Carolina with my husband and two children (they are dogs).
I’d love to learn a few things about you!
“You write to communicate to the hearts and minds of others what’s burning inside you, and we edit to let the fire show through the smoke.”
— Arthur Plotnik
